When's The Next Creative Revolution?
This economy and all the parties involved have taken quite a few blows lately. Especially the advertising and media industries, where it seems we are the first to go when times get tough. Tag, You're It
My new favorite thing to look at and read about is street art and graffiti. Personally its like planting beautiful flowers through out cities. It goes beyond your old school murals or tags and I can not believe how much trouble some artists can and do get into over simple, and beautiful self expression. Artistic Evolution
I overheard a woman openly bashing digital art the other day. She said it was a talentless and pointless. Besides thinking she was ignorant, I had this light bulb moment. Art has evolved. We have left the older generations behind. If we look back, throughout history- This has occurred repeatedly. Not just with art, but with music.
All around us we evolve and leave behind the people who don’t understand societys growth as a whole. Self expression is easier than its ever been. Sure maybe fine arts has fallen out of the limelight but there are still people, artists- souls that practice the trade. Visionaries of all kinds. I don’t believe the evolution is in the media used- rather I believe it is in the broadness of interpretation. Its becoming more and more acceptable to express anything you have the urge to - in nearly any way.

3 Reasons to Use Wikimedia for your Photo Needs
Sometimes, as a designer, we just plain need a photo of something and don't have the time to take it or money to buy it. This is especially true when mocking up a design for a client; why take the time or spend the money when you might be able to find something online that fits your purpose for free?
